Wethers, l's, 7's, sd, 5%d; 3's, 9'«, SW3%d, 4Kd; ewes, l's, 7's, 3%d, 4%d; 3>, 9*B, s's,'3%d, 3 5-8 d; ox beef, hind*, 3%a, id, fores, 2%d, 2%d; cow, hinds 3d, —, fores 2d, —; porkers, 5%d, 6%d; haconers, sd, —; tallow, fine mutton 21s dd, sweet beef 23s 6d, good mixed 21s; 6d. B»mbs,;jnarkf!t dull, with irregular price*. Ewes and wethers, quiet, prices easier. Beef, steadier. Porkers, quiet. Baeonera, dull. Tallow, firm. The Bank of New Zealand Produce Department has received the following advice from its London office as at close o£ business this week: —"Owing to lack of'demand weaker values are ruling for wether mutton. The market is weaker foe lighter-weight ewes. The market for lambs is quiet and unchanged. There is a good demand for beef. Trade generally ': it' affected by heavy supplies of Homekilled ,meat." Messrs, 4 Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 2nd October: "As compared with last week's quotations, North Island second quality lambs %d per lb lower. Best North Island wethers, under 481b and 56-641b, l-8d per lb lower; 48-561b, Vid per lb lower. North Island ewes, under 561b, 3-8 d per lb lower; 56-61 lb, VtA per lb lower. Others unchanged. The market is quiet. Prices are weakening, especially mutton."
