DAIRY MARKET POSITION
The New Zealand Dairy Board's weekly cablegram, dated London, 2nd October, and reedived to-day, is as follows: —"Butter market firm, but les sactive. Danish retail price Is 5d per lb; New Zealand, Is 3d. "New Zealand salted, 119s to 1235, and up to 124s per cwt. Danish, spot,. 1365; Australian, 116s to life. Stocks all butters in store at Ist October, ■ 18,000 tons. Stocks New Zealand, 5424 tons, with compared with 8850 tons 2nd October last year. : _ "Cheese market firm but less active. New Zealand white 70S to 71s, and for exceptional, 725; coloured 70s to 725; Canadian white and coloured 70s to 725, and 69s c.i.f. ' "Retail price New Zealand cheese, 8d "Butter is selling in New York at 34% cents per lb, and in Montreal at 20% cents (10 l-8d) per lb."
