YOUNG MAN'S OFFENCE

Sentenced on 30th September to two years' hard labour on charges of breaking and entering and assault, Leslie Gordon Clark,'a" seaman, aged 22, appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., on a charge of being unlawfully in possession of a .45 automatic pistol, and another of stealing eight fowls, valued at 245, the property of William Lee. The accused, who had pleaded guilty to. the charges before he was sent to tho Supreme Court, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment for being in possession of the pistol, and to one month's imprisonment on the theft charge. The Magistrate ordered the terms to be made concurrent with the sentence ho is at present serving.
