SHARP CLASH AT SALFORD

LONDON, Ist October.
The police charged with batons thousands of unemployed who were attempting to rush Salford Town Hall. The whole area resounded with booing,'screaming, and hissing. The unemployed were ridden down and trampled on by mounted, men. Many arrests were made.
