WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION

MASTERTON, This Day.
The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Cricket Association was held last night.
Mr. K. C. Montgomery (secretary) was appointed delegate to attend the biennial conference of special delegates, to be held in Christchurch- on 10th November. The Red Star Club, which was reconstituted this year, was granted affiliation. It was decided to invite two teams from the Hutt Club to play matches with two Wairarapa teams in Masterton on Labour Day. If the weather conditions prove unfavourable, the matches will probably be played at the Hutt. The arranging of a date for a match with the Kilbirnie Club was left to the Management Committee, It was decided to open the season on 17th October. . .
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Patron, Mr. F. G. Maunsell; president, the Rev. E. 0. Blamires; vice-presidents, last year's were re-elected, with the addition of Messrs. G. Vincent, H. M. Peacock, and H. H. Daniell; secretary, Mr. K. C. Montgomery; treasurer, Mr. H. B. Massey; Management Committee, Messrs. A. Hoar, F. Dohnti A. Holly, J. Denby, and'S. J. Smith; auditor, Mr. A. P. Smith; delegate to New Zealand Cricket Council, Mr. D. E. Parton; delegates to Memorial Park Board, Messrs. A. E. Smith and E. S. Smith.
