bANBEEEi, 30th September. , The Poderaly Government has been advised; that a' reduction 'of the exchange, rate inevitably must follow the changed conditions in Britain, but that it would be unwise to push too strongly for a reduction until the English pound has become more stabilised. Mr.: E. G. Theodore, the Federal Treasurer, announced in the House of Kepresentatiyes ; that;the Government had agreed jthat it would be inadvisable to make any change in the exchange, rate, which would mean a sudden dtop^at'thte. present time. \ He added that negotiations 'between 1 (the Government and,the banks had'not Iconcluded, but he was hopeful of get-1 'ting money.
