AERO CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING
MORE MEMBERS WANTED
: The necessity for improvements ,*t the) Rongotal Airport, which would tend te make club membership more attractive, wae stressed by the Mayor (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop) at the annual meeting of the Wellington Aero Club last evening. He suggested that an area of land might be obtained for a tennis court. If the social side.of the club was cultivated the club would be more attractive, and there should be an increased -membership. In moving the adoption of 'the .report and balance-sheet, which have been published in "The Post," Mr. Hislop wrid that the position was a little better thin last year, but the club at present was unable to live" on its income. In the last month or two there had been an increase in membership, and if that increase was maintained, the club's difficulties would be overcome. An increased membership wae essential. With a view to increasing the membership, Mr. Hislop suggested that gome thought might be given during the coming year towards club amenities to make the club more attractive. The club's capital was £6000, but it could not keep on living on that. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected $ Patron, Mr. D. A. Ewen; president, Mr, T.'-C.
