Training operations at Riccarton on Tuesday morning were conducted in fine overhead" conditions, following on light rain, which left the tracks very dead. , Kiri, with Hou as a mate for the last live furlongs, covered a mile in Imin 47scc. He went at v sound pace all tlie way and finished well. lUeprisant. who strode over six furlongs in Imin 21see, looks in good order. Cricket Bat ran five furlongs comfortably, and Zeebrugge sprinted home from the three-furlong post, while Ball Dress had Owlsflight as a mate for the last four or five furlongs, which occupied limn Osec. Nightguard and Red Heckle were associated over six furlongs, which they covered in Imin 21 2-ssec. . There was not uuch between Tarquimus and Night Flyer at the end of six furlongs, run in Imin 19 3-ssec, a useful effort. Convoy and Minerval got to the end of seven furlongs in Imin 33 3-Dsec.
