STRONG TEA MARKET
Ttivaie cablegrams received yesterday advise a very strong market for all description, of tea, both in the Colombo and Calctttte markets, especially for common and low medium types. These f teaa show_a jreneral advance m prices, of 2i6d to jo. Tlte large London blending houses are almost entirely responsible for this rise, probilbly due to the financial crisis at Home. Quality, both in Ceylon and India, v now slowing a falling off, all round. Cabled opinion is that it is difficult to forecast tHe future' trend of the tea market, but ifc< would appear a« if this exceptional rise jr too justified.
