Mr. Lang, the Premier, in Parliament, foreshadowed a dozen measures which he desired to have passed at one sitting to enable the House to go into recess. Opposition members protested against, the rush of legislation, and the Legislative Council refused to proceed with the programme outlined by the Vice-President. This Chamber refused again to sit all night, as the Assembly is doing.
