DECREASED BUSINESS

BANKRUPT PUBLICAN

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUBCH, This Day. Attributing his bankruptcy to lack of capital, high overhead charges, and a big decrease in hotel business, I Frederick Boughen Patterson, formerly a hotelkecper in Wellington, Palmerston North, and Christchurch, now working as a barman, "met his creditors to-day. His deficiency was shown as £2500. Suggestions.wore made that the bankrupt, without making his position known, had been carrying on a credit business in Christchurch while ho had big commitments in the North Island. When questioned, bankrupt said that he did not think tho firms here would have given him credit had they known his .position. The meeting was adjourned to enable an investigation to.be made of the books affecting the North island business. - : -• ' - '
