(Received 6th September, 9 a.m.}' LONDON, 5tK September. Stanley Woods set a new lap recorfl of 89.67 miles an hour, winning the 500 c.c. class motor-cycle race in the Ulster Grand Prix. The average speed was 86.43. E. Knott was second, and P. Hunt third. At Manchester, in the> presence of forty thousand, England won the Speedway "ashes," defeating Australia bjr 52 points to 41. Only an Englishman,' Jack Parker, secured the maximum points. . ' ■:."'■
