"Evening Post" 'Photo. MEMORIAL TO RIVER BOARD ENGINEER.— The Hutt River Board has honoured the late Mr. LaingMeason, its engineer for many years and the planner of the very successful stop-bank system which has kept the river in trim, by the erection of an unusual memorial near the new bridge at Lower Hutt. The design represents a huge river boulder, with, below, a marble panel and brief appreciation of Mr. LaingMeason's work.
