In the Davis Cup second round, Britain, defeated Belgium in the- doubles, thereby winning the contest by three matches to nil.: Britain now meets the winner of the Ireland v. South Africa match. ' Austin beat La Groix (Belgium), 6-1 G-i, 6-4. v fe /> ; Perry beat De Borman, 6-2, C-0, 6-2. At Helsiugfors, Egypt eliminated Finland by four matches to one, and meets Japan in the next round.
: At Belgrade Japan eliminated Jugoslavia, 3-0. '
