Patrons of boxing arc given a final reminder' of to-night's tournament at tlie John Street Stadium, which promises to provide'ii liigh-clnas evening's entertainment. In the pa&t WellaigUm audiences have usually been treated to excellent amateur contests preceding tho main event, and to-night tho'prospect i.s for these to be of more interest than usual. After tbe splendid contest between Higgs and Pan-is a fortnight ago, their return match should be worth going a long way to see. Another contest ot: more than average interest is that between J aggers, the Canterbury champion, and Arbutlinol, the champion from Donoghuc'a School. Thomas will be making his third appearance since arriving here,, and while his first appearance was not quite up to expectations he redeemed'his reputation by defeating Way, and to-night his many friends fully expect him to lower the colours of the Taruuaki champion, .Donovan.
