"OBSERVER'S" ADVICE
(Received 2nd March, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Ist March. The "Observer" emphasises the baselessness of tho charge that the British Press is unfair to Australia. It points out that tho comments were sym-. pathetic, but never minimised the gravr ity of the Commonwealth's crisis and tho political aspects of the three-year plan. "The hazardous situation drifts' while' dissolution ' threatens, pnly a national Government, formed with or without a General Election, can give tho Commonwealth the essential policy of courage, wovk, and economy. Hope is based on tlie indomitable effort of a people with n continent at its back iind tho whole world before it.
