BOWLING
THE SENIOR PENNANt )
AVON BY IXA.TAITAI
The playing o£ the postponed ftrsfc round of the Senior Pennant bowling competition on Saturday afternoon resulted in Hataitai Club obtaining 100 per cent, of wins and annexing the Pennant. Hataitai's record was the more remarkaljls in that it had ten rinks playing and was fifth- from the lead before the round wad played. The percentage of .wins -will icquire to be worked out before the runnerup can be stated with certainty. Central Club, Petone, defauted in all it* games, deciding to take .this. _ course because it had no chance of' winning th« Pennant. It is likely that the centre will ask the club to explain .its action, which, might have had a serious effect on th» result of the competition. . Results:— SENIOR PENNANT.
