WEDDINGS

The wedding was celebrated sit Hie Methodist Church, CurUrton, on Saturday afternoon of Kenneth Harold, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Hoddcr, Carterton, arid Maryann, only daughter of Mr. E. Harland. The ceremony was performed by the Eev. R. J. Liddell. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a dainty frock of white crepe de chine with a close-fitting bodice and fully-flared skirt with an uneven hemline. Her embroidered veil was worn with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of carnations and sweet peas. Miss Doris Piayle was bridesmaid, wearing a frock of lemon crepo de chine, with a flared skirt and a long bodico finished with a cape collar. She wore a picture hat of crinoline straw trimmed with lemon, and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. Mr. Ronald Allen was best wan. After the ceremony about fifty friends were entertained "at the residence of the bridegroom's parents, the dining-room being decorated "with apricot-coloured flowers. The wedding

cake was made and presented by the bridegroom's sister. The bride travelled in a brown jumper suit, a tweed coat, and a brown felt hat. Mr. and Mrs. Hodder will "later reside in Carterton.
