YACHTING AT PAREMATA
Two races for each class of centreboarders were held at Paremata during the week-end, in a southerly breeze varying from light to moderate. Results, with handicaps and actual sailing times, ate given below. — First-class Handicap.—Peggy (3min), K. Parkin, Ihr 28min 2lsec, 1; Kotuku II (3 mm), W. Ginders, Ihr" 28min 39sec, 2; Kia. Ora (4^min), It. Kerr, Ihr 33iniu 6sec, 3. Also started: Miss Josephine (scr), D. M'Kenzie, Ihr 29miu 41scc; Kuini (ser), A. Sterling, Ihr 30miu 57bo<:; Kewpie (S. Wood), when lying third at the end of the first, round, was disqualified for fouling Kotuku 11. " First-class Handicap.—Kuini (scr), A. Sterling, Ihr 32min 28scc, 1; Kotuku 11. (l%min), W. Burrows (ISmin), lhr 41min 25sec; Miloed (10 mm), 1?. Huggins, lhr-39min 45sec. In a close and excitiug finish, Tui crossed the line a bowsprit ahead of Maire, to win by three-fifths of a sfcconrl. .
