FIRST RACE NEXT TUESDAY
KEENNESS AT DUNEDIN
(By. Telegraph.—Press Association.);-"*" DUSTEDIN, 11th February. At a meeting of the Otago Yacht and Motor-boat Association to-night matters in connection with the contest for the Sanders Memorial Cup were finalised. "'"'"' It was reported that the Otago defender, Eileen, and the Southland challenger, Rona, had been polished and were in first-class order. The Auckland challenger, Avalon, had arrived safely, and was now being polishedj and /the Wellington, challenger, Betty, had, also arrived, and was now housed at the Boat Harbour. The Canterbury.l challenger, Colleen ', is expected1 to arrive on Friday. • The Southland crew- will reach Dunedin on Friday eyening and the northern crews and -delegates - on , Saturday; afternoon. Complete arrangements have been ' made for entertaining the visiting crews, who, together with the delegates, will be accorded a civic reception at the Town Hall on Monday evening: The first race will.-be held on Tuesday." The contest■ promises to be very keen, and one of the most successful held, for some years.I.' '' ■
