A PROMPT RESPONSE.

In response to a call made by radio last evening by the St. John Ambulance Association for an invalid chair, the secretary reports tbat within five minutes of the call he received a telephone message advising that a chair would be delivered at once. Other chairs have been received, and these are very acceptable, as there are a number of cases which can be accommodated with them. The association also appealed for towels, pillow cases, sheets, etc., and still. requires donations of fruit, flowers, sweets, and cigarettes for the patients under their control. The hospital cases are visited daily and outpatients' wants are being supplied with dispatch. The nurses and doctors are. in constant attendance at the rooms, where casualties are dealt with and prescriptions for medicines supplied.
