One of the directors of Boss and Glendining,. Ltd., has just visited the earthquake area and has spent several days iii Napier and Hastings. His report to his company definitely states that Boss and Glendining's buildings and stock are completely demolished. As the company was not covered by earthquake insurance at Napier, the direct loss to it, the Press Association is informed, will. total slightly over ■£70,000.
