The New Plymouth' track was again in good order for the final try-outs this morning: The high wind that-has been blowing for the last few days had died down, and the track was: very, fast. Agaiu nearly all the fast-1 work took place on the plough. ■ Tea Queen and Malayan did halfpace work. Open Cheque (S. Wilson) took 51 3-ssee for half a mile. Impetuous and Missland took 51sec for the same distance,, both moving well. . Tenterden went half a mile, the last three furlongs taking<.'37£see.-' He looks improved by his recent racing. On the outside of the course proper,' Melissa went seven furlongs at a good three-quarter pace, and Miss Chatter took 41-Jsec for three furlongs.
