UNEMPLOYMENT POSITION
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Bth February. Two important debates will take place in the House of Commons this week, but it is not anticipated that they will create difficulties for the Government. The Conservntive vote of censure on the question of national economies, with special reference to the position of the Unemployment Insurance Fund, will be taken on Wednesday. The Liberals having indicated that they will not support the motion, the existence of the Government is not endangered. i On Thursday'the House of Commons will debate a general motion urging the Government to present an extensive policy for utilising! the labour of the workless in useful and essential schemes of national development,, and proposing that the cost should be met by inviting subscriptions to public and national loans. The chief interest centres round the attitude of the Government toward these proposals. It is expected that the motion will not be presented to a division.
