"FAIR TO FINE"
MORE SEASONABLE WEATHER
Yesterday's southerly has practically disappeared and this morning the winds wore light and variable over the Dominion with a tondency to northerlies to prevail. Somewhat cloudy conditions ruled yesterday along the East Coast, but otherwise the weather was fair, and by this morning it had become fine almost generally with more seasonable temperatures than have recently prevailed. The'anti-cyclone which has been covering New Zealand has become less extensive and intense than it was and a slight depresson has been moving gradually towards southern New Zealand. There also appears to bo a depression situated north of Norfolk Island, and at the latfer placo there has been considerable rain since yesterday morning. Auckland experienced another fine day with a light northerly wind. At Wellington a cool southerly continued to blow, but the day was mostly fine' and sunny. Both Christchurch and Duncdin had dull movnjtigs, but tlio^ ufteruoon was flue and bright. The forecast is for light to liiotlerato northerly winds, freshening shortly. The weskhor should bo fair to fine and warm, but cloud increasing shortly in- western districts and rain gradually developing in the, far north and .soutli and in Wcstland,
