VISITORS TO SYNOD
PARTY AT BISHOPSCOURT
A particularly onjoyable garden party was given on Saturday last by tho Bishop of Christch-ureh and Mrs. West-Watson in honour of the visitors from overseas, and from all parts of the Dominion, who arc attending tho meeting of the Synod (states a Christchurch Micr). Tno gar(iclis <^ Bishopscourt were gay with summor flowers; and the weather was perfect. Tea was served on the lawns, and many guests played tennis, among the most enthusiastic of the players being Bishop Molyneaux, tho Bishop of Melanesia. The guests, who included many interesting and distinguished visitors, were roceivod by Bishop and Mrs. West-Wat-son, the latter wearing a frock of deep green crepe do chine, and a short coat of green and silver faconne. Her hat was of black ballibuntl straw.
