The Wellington Stock Exchange has received advice from the general manager' of Taranaki Oil Fields, N.L., at Gisborne that no earthquake damage has occurred at the company's Waitangi bore. ■ (Ry Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORKE, This Day. Taranaki Oil reports Waitangi No. 1 well drilled to 1290 ft in shale. Considerable delay experienced owing to caving in below 1100 ft Pumped large quantity of mud into formation, which has shut off gas and apparently stopped caving in now. Cleaned out practically to bottom. Condition of hole now more satisfactory.
