A camera -which a patient swallows and which photographs the interior of the body, was , demonstrated successfully at St. Mary's Hospital. , ; Tho invention of two young Australian scientists, it consists, of a flexible tube carrying sixteen pinhole- cameras, the whole occupying about tw» inches. When the patient swallows the camera alight is introduced by means of a tube.. It lasts for part of a second, giving £ flash of 200,000-candle.. power. This is,sufficient to take,sixteen photographs each the size of a piece of confetti. When, the. photographs, ar,e enlarged a hundred times arid pieced to» gether, they givel a complete -picture of -the1" interior of the body:; •*? ■ • ■" Each camera costs £160.
