The collection taken up at the sacred concert held last evening in aid of earthquake relief amounted to £80 11s Id. • ■ • . Johnson), Mrs. Wilfred Andrews; recital, "Odo to the West Wind" (John Maseflcld), Miss Mary Cooley; organ solos, (a) "Choral Prelude," "Mortify Us by Thy Grace" (Bach), (b) Variations on a Themo ,of Handel" (Karg-Elert), Mr. Bernard F. Page; solo, "If Stubborn Men" (Halevy), Mr. Hanson Cook; solo, "Solvieg'a Song" (Greig), Miss Myra Sawyer; trio (a) "How Beautiful is Night" (Hamblctt), (b) "To Aurora" (Mozart), the Wellington Ladies' Trio (Miss Nora Gray, Mrs. P. J. Townley, Miss Mollie Fenton). -The accompanists were Madame Evelyn de Mauny and Mr. Frank Crowther. Mr. IT. Temple Whtie was responsible for arranging the programme.
