WORLD-WIDE SYMPATHY

Messages of sympathy with those who have suffered in,the earthquake continue to come to hand. The Governor-General has been advised that His Majesty the King has received the following telegram from the President of the German Beich:— "On the occasion of the receipt of the overwhelming .riew,s of the terrible earthquake disaster ..which has visited New Zealand, may I be allowed to convey to Your Majesty my most sincere condolences. From the Apostolic Delegate, North Sydney:—"l am commanded by His Holiness the Pope to express his profound sympathy in tho very serious disaster that has befallen his beloypd children in New Zealand. He prays for the eternal repose of the victims and for the comfort of the survivors."

Can we aid with dental equipment or supplies. • • • —Louis Graham.'' mouth amount to £3500, including £2100 to "Taranaki Herald's" list.
