KARAMEA REMEMBERS

Karamen. settlers have not forgotten their tribulations in the Murchison earthquake of 1929, and this morning there arrived in Wellington by the scow Fairburn a generous gift of goods for the sufferers in the Hawkes Bay disaster. This was dispatched by the Karamea Belief Committee, and comprised 37 boxes of butter, 10 sacks of potatoes, three of cabbagos, and eleven cases'of sundries. Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co.j agents for the Fairburn, handed the consignment over to the Salvation Army food depot in Wellington for distribution in tho right quarters.
