Mr. Edward Lovell, of .Messrs/Lovell and Christmas, London, who ■-.■was in Hawkes Bay on,the day of the earth- [ quake, has cabled his firm suggesting that the form of assistance having the most lasting effect would be a fund for special propaganda in.Great Britain on behalf of the New Zealand dairy producer. He has received a reply that the firm has arranged an interview, with Government officials on Monday.
