LINDRUM IN BRILLIANT FORM

LONDON, 7th February

Lindrum made an amaziug spurt and scored 2880 to-doy. He carried an unfinished break to 2835, completed ; during the afternoon session, in which Newman scored 31, with 273 unfinished, which in the evening he carried on to 451, breaking down and missing both object balls. Newman made a break of 199, after which Lindrum, showing most brilliant form and marvellous control of the ball, made 1704 unfinished. Scores: Newman, 16,819; Lindrum. 13,039.
