RACE FOR DUNCAN CUP
The race for', the Duncan Cup (Takapuna class boats) was held v at Petone on Saturday afternoon. Last year's winner,.! the Shirley, led all the way and won easily. The Waitui was second, and tlie Nukumai third. Following are the finishing times by the clock:. Shirley (A. Gilligan), 4hr 39min 30sec, 1; Waitui ! (L. Hosie), 4hr 48min lOsec, 2; Nukumai (Hislop), -4hr 53min 20sec, 3. The Wairuna, the only other starter, capsized.
