GAVE TICKET TO WIFE
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. , . . (Received 7th February, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 6th February. ' Mir. ■ Muvdy ' Jones, M.P., and wife pleaded guilty at the Marylebone Police Court to the improper use of Government vouchers for travelling on the railways, and were fined £2. The Magistrate declared that it was a disgraceful case for a member of Parliament to be involved in. -Jones was charged with wilfully transferring nontransferable tickets to his wife. and aiding and abetting Ms wife to travel by railway without previously paying her fare. Prosecuting counsel said; that, the tickets were obtained on Government warrants and were for members of Parliament, not relatives. Mrs. Jones handed in a ticket at the barrier at Pontypridd, purporting to'be dated 19th December, but the date was written in different pencil by the husband, said counsel. When the police visited Jones, he admitted his indiscretion. '.
