Captain Campbell on Friday established a world's speed record of 94.031 miles an hour for tiny automobiles, with a piston displacement of less than fortyfive cubic inches. The previous record was 87.76 miles per hour. Campbell clipped 6.27 miles an hour off the previous record established in -France several years ago. Hia first! run clocked 38.27 seconds, a speed of 94.069 m.p.h., and the second run 38.3 seconds, a speed of 93.994 m.p.h. The average speed foi a kilometre course laid out within the measured mile was 93.968 m.p.h. for the first run, and 93.98 for the second, an average of 93.948. It is Captain Campbell's intention to rest now a week or so before returning to England, where ho expects to. resume competitive racing. ;
