Tho anti-cyclone covorlnc Nctf Zealand and; the Tatman Sea has Intensified, while pressure has remained low to tho eastwards. Consequently, winds have hecorae mostly southerly, and they have freshened somowhat frum Cook Strait northwards. Fair to fine toeatb«r has continued to prevail, however, but 4a Fovoaux Strait showers have fallen at times.
