WEDDINGS

A* very quiet wedding was celebrated at St. Bonan's Church, Eastbourne, this afternoon, when Thelma Lcnora, elder daughter of Mr; and the late Mrs. H. C. Ell, was married to "William, "youngest son of Mr. W. A. Miillins, Auckland, the Ecv. Mr. Baine officiating. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. V. Menzies, wore a dainty frock of ivory georgette and lace, the long full skirt with circular frills being attached to a lace bodice. A beautiful veil of embroidered tulle caught with a sprig of orange blossom completed a charming toilette. She carried a sheaf of lilies. . The bridesmaid, Miss Cora Ell, wore a smart lemon chenille jumper suit, with hat to match. Her bouquet was of pale lavender. Mr. Erie Cunliffe, Dunedin, was best man. The bride's travelling suit was a navy tailored coat and skirt, and she wore a small close-fitting hat. The wedding was celebrated recently at the Synagogue, Wellington, of Ellen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Green, Wellington, and Abe Spolsky, Wellington. Mr. Isaac Van Staveren officiated, . The decorations at the Synagogue were the work of the Judean Girl Guides, of whom the bride is captain. The bride, who was given away by Mr. and Mrs. Mark Green, wore a Victorian frock of ivory mariette, the skirt being frilled from the waist to the ankles. She wore a veil of rose point lace which hung to the edge of the frock, and carried a bouquet of roses in pastel shades. . Mr. Spolsky was given away by Mr. Joe Spolsky and Mrs. M. Spitz, Auckland. The three bridesmaids, Misses Peggy Hollander (chief), Martha Myers, and Esther Jackson, wore long frocks of sea-green, georgette, and green crinoline hats. They carriod bouquets of pink roses. Sonia Moltzer was a small flowergirl wearing a full-length frock of green organdie, and carrying a basket of roses. The page, Bennie Schrieide-1 man, wore a Scarlet Pimpernel suit in j green and white satin. Mr. Ben. Green was best man, and Messrs. Jules Newton (Napier) and Hynam Spolsky groomsmen. The canopy-bearers were Maurice Pitkowsky. arid Myer Morris. After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Green entertained about three hundred guests at the Adelphi Cabaret. Mrs. Green wore a model frock of apricot lace and black georgette, and; a coat of black panne velvet with; an ermine collar. Her hat was a black Bangkok straw. Mrs. M. Spitz wore a frock of heavy white marocain, and a black hat. '
