Relatives of ipeople in the stricken districts are sti,ll without names of the earthquake victims, and fruitlessly appealed to the 1 New Zealand Government Office, where the -casualty list is anxiously awaited. Sir Tliomas Wilford has received personal letters of sympathy from Mr. Mac Donald, the. Ambassadors and High Commissioners, and also many unsolicited donations. Sir Thomas to-day talked with Mr. Forbes on the wireless telephone. In response to the Prime Minister's appeal, the Jewish community in Wellington has decided to hold a special service at the Synagogue on Saturday morning.
