KAEORI AND NORTHLAND ' PROTEST

Emphatic protests, against tho opposition of the Association to the proposal for improved access to tho western suburbs, via Sydney street, were made by members of the Karori and Northland Progressivo Associations, at a special meeting hold last night. Mr. W. Simm, of tho Knrori Association, presided. The following . resolutions were1 pased:— '.'This meeting of residents of Karori and Northland unanimously supports the action of the Mayor and councillors in. the proposed shorter route to the western suburbs." "That a_committee be formed with the object of raising a petition, to be signed by residents in the western suburbs, in order to show tho Mayor and councillors that this district must be heard, and that if-they wish to remain on the council they must comply with the demands."
