RENEWED SHAKES

HEAVY AT NAPIER STATION ABANDONED

Shortly after noon to-day the Bailway Department received a telephone message from Hastings stating that heavy renewed shakes were taking place, especially at Napier. The shakes were so severe that the officers at the Napier railway station have had to leave the building until things quieten down. The temporary telegraph office at the railway station has also been vacated.
