Matheson, old boys of Wellington College, have passed the examination for membership of the Royal College of Physicians. j * , The Eev. James Baird died at Masterton on Tuesday, aged 93 years. The late Mr. Baird X was educated at Glasgow University.- He arrived in New Zealand in 3870, and worked in the parishes of .TTampdon and "Winton. After retiring from active work many years ago, ho took up residence in Invercargill. On the death of his wife about four years ago he came to live in Mastertou. He leaves a family of three sons and three daughters.
