WIRELESS TELEPHONY
SERVICE TO SOUTH AMERICA
(Britiati Official' Wireless.) I (Received 11th December, 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, 10th December. The Postmaster-General announces that, from 12th December, direct radio telephone) communication will be available- between Britain and Argentina, with an extension hy land lino in South America to Uruguay and Chile. The service will be available to all parts of Britain and Northern Ireland and South Africa to subscribers at their ordinary telephones. The minimum charge covering three minutes' conversation from any place in Britain to the city and province of Bnenos Aires will be £6, to the remainder of Argentina £6 6a, and to Chile £6 12s.
