AGREEMENT REACHED

CANBERRA, 10th December. In the House of Representatives, the Minister for Home Affairs, Mr. Arthur Blakeley, made a statement concerning the prohibited entry of Italians to Australia. He said that while the Commonwealth had* already overlooked the case of a number of Italians who, in the past, had entered tho Commonwealth irregularly, those now arriving would be prevented from landing in aceordaueo with the new agreement made with the Italian Government under which only female relatives and children of those already in Australia were permitted to j enter. j
