PIGEON RACING.
The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society flew a race from Whangarci. The birds had a blow home, doing the distance in Bhr 22min. The results are as follows:— Mr. W. Thomas's r.c.p.e. 152-28, Bhr 22 mm Slsec; Mr. R. Lamb's r.c.c. 256-28, Bhr 23min 31sec; Mr. W. Thomas s bee. 447-28, Bhr 32min 31sec; Mr. A. Croskery's b.c.c. 392-27, Bhr 33min 45sec; C Marple and Son's r.c.c. 10-27, Bhr 36min 25sec; Mr. W. Thomas's b.c.h. 183-28, Bhr 36min 30sec; Mr. A. Padderson's b.c.h. 217-28, Bhr 38miri Isec; Mr. A. Padderson s b.c.h., 196-28, Bhr 38min isec.
