A radio- telephone call" -was put through from Italy to.Sydney via .London on Monday night, just before 0.30 p.m. (New Zealand time), reports Mr.E. Leslie Jones. Speech was quite clear from Italy, both speakers speaking in Italian. Tho clarity of tho voice from Italy, notwithstanding the fact that the transmission was broadcast through and by London, was remarkably good and free of extraneous noises. I'ho speech was heard direct from London, on short-wave. The speech from Sydney was also excellent.
