V.M.C.A. GYMNASIUM PICNIC
The junior members of the V.M.C.A. gymnasium were cutcrtaincd ;it a spoils picnic at Da3''s Bay; over 100 members laud parents attending. The adult members held their function in the gymnasium. 'JUr. L. J. Greenberg, in the absence of the president, Mr. W. J. Mason, presented the prizes, and. in doing so complimented the members on the excellent spirit which has prevailed in the gymnasium. He specially mentioned the willingness of the members to assist others at the various functions in the city. He congratulated the members of the team who were successful in winning the Dominion gymnastic championship. During the evening an excellent programme was carried out, and the lady members provided an excellent supper. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Duffy were presented with a set of cutlery and floral presents from the members of the senior classes. Mr. J. A. Duffy suitably responded.
