CRUELTY TO A HORSE
Alfred Southcc was /charged in tin; Jlagietrate's Court at Upper Hutt yesterday, before Mr. T, B. M'Noil, S.M., with li'aying cruelly ill-treated'a horse'by working it whileit was -suffering from'sores. ■Inspector . J.. Henry, of the ■ 5..P.C.A., described the condition of the horse. The defendant had been riding it with sores under the saddle. The horse was old ami in poor condition. Soutliee had two previous convictions for cruelty to animals. The defendant pleaded guilty, and was convicted and fined £4. . -
