RECORD FOR INDIA

DELHI, 9th December. Flying-Officer Matthews and Lieutenant Grylls, of the Royal Engineers, accomplished an altitude record for India yesterday by climbing 24,000 ft above New Delhi in 50 minutes. They obtained a wonderful view of the snowelad Himalayas without leaving the capital.
