SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
CONCERT FOR .RELIEF FUND
•''Virtue is its own reward," but at times it is doubly rewarded. Contributing to a good cause by attending a good entertainment is a case iv point. An unusual opportunity of this kind presents itself iv the concert to be given on Tuesday next in the Town Hall by the Wellington Symphony Orchestra, Mrs. Wilfred Andrews, and Signor Lucien Cesaroni. The concert is in aid of the Mayor's fund for the relief of unemployment, and the prices for admission—unusually low for an entertainment of such a character—should greatly extend tho range of its appeal. The orchestra, whose .magnificent performances have justly given it a very high reputation among musical enthusiasts, gave its last regular concert some weeks ago, and its decision to provide an extra performance will be widely welcomed. The orchestral numbers •will include "William Tell" Overture, the first movement of the Unfinished Symphony, the "Faust" ballet music, and Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance" march. Mrs. Andrews will -sing "Aye Maria" (Bach-Gounod), with Mr. Bernard Page lit the organ, and Signor Cesaroni will give "King Solomon's JFines.'" Reserves may be booked at Tlie Bristol.
